A Transforming Waitress on the Reefer

Ok, again, I neglected my duties as a blogger, but will make up for it, with yet again... a triple review!
1) Transformers. Ok... so, what can be said about Michael Bay's film Transformers... I think Transformers was a perfect title... because it took something awesome and much loved from our childhood and transformed it into the Bourne Supremacy with robots. What do I mean? I mean, the action was weak, it was close shots going too fast, so you couldn't even tell what was happening. The acting was, meh, I think looking at it as an action movie works. I mean I had heard the reviews already, so I wasn't going in with high hopes, it was more just, I'm bored and wanna watch something that involves thinking. And as that, it wasn't all that bad. Things blew up, it was cool.
2) Waitress- Thoroughly enjoyed this movie. While the very end left me wanting a little bit more at the time, the more I thought about it, the more I liked it. The acting was great, and the idea behind the film, and the way it was edited was teriffic. This was definately a film I loved, and would definately have it in my top ten of the year... if I had ten :P. It was a fun romantic comedy, again with a lot of serious content. Definately could see my mom loving this movie (go rent it mom :oD) The interspersing of Jenna's "pies" was perfect, and helped move along the film. The characters were just perfect. All of them added to the film, obviously Nathan Fillion and Keri Russel stood out as the two leads, and just played the characters with such a honesty that really made you connect with them.
3) Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical- Not to be confused with Reefer Madness/Tell your children, the 1936 educational film about the dangers of marijuana. Well, that's not true entirely, the whole point of the film is that it makes fun of Tell Your Children and its effects on society. Basically this was a film with all sorts of music ranging from the lover's "Loved by Mary Lane" and "Romeo and Juliet" to the ballad of the heavenly lounge lizard Jesus telling Jimmy to turn back from his vices of dope smoking. As someone who (hand to God) has never even taken a puff of weed I found the film absolutely hysterrical. What made the film was that it was directed towards the people who kind of know what the effects are, whether or not they actually tried it. Basically... even though I may never have tried weed.. I happen to know it doesn't turn you into a flesh eating zombie. Even the music was fantastic, I've been searching for the soundtrack, but with no luck so far. Satire was the name of the game and Reefer Madness blew the competition out of the bong water. Definately add it to your netflix quene for a good laugh.

Did you mean not thinking or thinking? And seriously, what about this?
"...because it took something awesome and much loved from our childhood and transformed it into the Bourne Supremacy with robots."
Really? "our childhood"? As in?? You and Kyp? Maybe Me and Mike (kind of) but whatever. I'm just not so sure I'd call the Transformers part of your childhood as they debuted in 84 (you were... oh, right, NOT BORN) and concluded in 87 - with G2 ending in 1990. Riiiiiight. Good memories. That's like me saying how much I enjoyed the 70's.
Anyway, I love the Bourne series and am really looking forward to seeing Transformers. Not for any type of deep acting - I'm not looking for a hard hitting drama, but more for the special effects and a little bit of the "ah ha!" from Transformers of the past.
Goodness. So you've now seen and loved two movies about unwanted pregnancy. Hee hee. Not sure it's a movie for Mom. But we can politely disagree. There is a poignant scene at the end when a little girl waves goodbye to a character from the diner. Not sure if you know the story, but it is deeply emotional for reasons beyond what was written in the story-line.
