Do or Die

[via TVSquad]

February 15th is the unofficial Do or Die date for this season of TV. If the strike doesn't end before then, the rest of the TV season is essentially canceled. Good news is, rumors are aflutter that the strike should be over by weeks end.

Ditto

I completely agree with Kyp. The entirety of New England is a little sad. However, things to remember are that we still had a multi-record breaking season. Still have won more games in a row than any team in history. Last time someone went undefeated all season, the season was shorter, and their record only came to 16-0... we did that by the end of our regular season. The Pats played well... the Giants played better. Sure there were a few weird calls, and a very strange choice to go for it on 4th and long in field goal range.
Congrats to the Giants, they played a good game, it was an entertaining nail-biting event, which is why I love watching sports. But if there's one thing I believe in... it's the fact that the Patriots are a fantastic team, and their loss (singular!!) this season will just push them even more... They'll come back next year stronger, and a little tighter... who knows what will happen.

On Disappointment

Remember when you were a kid and all you wanted for Christmas was that shiny new red bike? You were extra good all year, ate all your vegetables and only hit your sister a couple of times. Remember on Christmas morning, that crushing blow of utter defeat you felt when there was no shiny new red bike? Welcome to New England.

It just feels like the Giants wanted it more and you can’t fault them for it. It’s one of the greatest upsets in sports history and they just might have deserved it more. But it’s still hard to trek 18 games victorious just to lose the last and most important.

I try to think that worse things have happened. Fires and bombs. Those things are pretty bad. There’s still no peace in the Middle East. Next to these 18-1 doesn’t sound so bad, does it? Well I think the wallowing is healthy and it hasn’t even been 12 hours yet, so I’m still gonna wallow just a bit longer.
