Gambit Cast in New X-Men Movie

Gambit, my (and many others) favorite character from the X-Men Universe, has been cast in the new X-Men movie spin-off Wolverine: X-Men Origins. Originally Josh Holloway who plays Sawyer on LOST was offered the role of Gambit for X-Men 3 but he turned it down under fear of being type-cast as the rugged southern bad-boy. So they went for the second best rugged southern bad-boy on TV: Taylor Kitsch. Tim Riggens on NBC's totally underrated Friday Night Lights. Great casting or what?
