TGIF

So, a common thread to multiple many much emails I've gotten today has been, "TGIF" meaning, of course, Thank God it's Friday!... I concur... but that reminded me of a conversation we had last night around the dinner table at Cheesecake Factory.... ABC's TGIF. Everyone has different memories of what the line-up was.
The line up that I remember always watching:
7pm- Family Matters
7:30- Boy Meets World
8:00- Step by Step
8:30- Hanging with Mr. Cooper.

Eventually Muppet's Tonight (quite possibly one of my favorite shows from childhood next to maybe only this) got worked in there... good times!

Anyway, I figured... why not:

My Conversion

I always used to comfort myself when talking with kyp... "i'm not that nerdy... i don't read comic books."
Well... it happened... not only have I now read comic books... i LIKE a comic book... or two... or 5. Kyp started me out easy with "The Watchmen", if you've seen the Dark Knight, which you should have, at least twice... then you've seen the Watchmen trailer... and it was amazing. Fascinating story, and it's apparently it's one of the most famous comic stories.
Then he turned me onto Y: The Last Man (one of the more artistic pictures from the book is on the right). AMAZING. Basically it follows the story of Yorick Brown, who along with his monkey Ampersand embark on a journey from Boston to Australia to find his girlfriend Beth. The interesting part is that Yorick and Ampersand are the last male mammals living on earth.
I don't want to say anything more, because all of you reading this should go out, buy the first few books and read them. Kyp actually still has book 10 (last book) and i'm on 9... he refuses to read book 10... cuz then it'll be over.... and I agree with him.
Do it.
