2010 Providence 48 Hour Film Project

I, Kyp, was on my honeymoon this past weekend so I was not able to participate in most of the 2010 Providence 48 Hour FIlm Project.  But Wax Idiotical still managed to pump out another great 4-7 minute short.  The screening was last night and went quite swimmingly.  Shout out to Spanky & the King who's film "Alienation" was quite good and very enjoyable.  We also have a bootleg of our movie "Bright Idea" that you can check out at the movie's page.

Welcome to Where You Are Wins Audience Award!

We got word the other day that Welcome to Where You Are received the Audience Award for screening group A!  It's not on the website yet so here's what the email said:

Well it wasn't easy and the races were tight but we have the audience winners for the New Hampshire 48 Film Project.

Group A. "Welcome to Where You Are" Wax Idiotical Films.  Genre - Musical or Western.
Group B. "Clark & Claire" Carry On Productions.  Genre - Musical or Western. 

I guess people really dig musicals and westerns :).  All the films shot over the course of the weekend and screened last Tuesday were great and I thank all of you for participating.  

Thanks so much to everyone at the screening who voted for us.  We're glad you liked it.  And I look forward to seeing the rest of the movies at the Best of on July 28th.  Hope to see everyone there!

Love.MOV Runs Up Boston!!

Wax Idiotical's Love.MOV (aka 404bidden_Love) won the Honorable Mention for Best Film.  That means we came in 2nd =)  We're thrilled and honored.  We had a total blast at the Best of Show!  Thanks 48hfp!

Boston 48 hour Film Project 2010

It was a crazy weekend, as always, made crazier by the fact that the Friday we started, April 30th, was also my (Kyp's) Birthday!  So here's what we came up with: "404bidden_Love" which will be renamed and hereafter referred to as "Love.MOV" because we like that name better.
